Introduction
BA (Hons) Social Science (Criminology and Law), is an interesting and unique
programme in its combination of discrete choices of social scientific enquiry
which is integrated into whole programme with a number of distinctive routes,
that examines everything from crime and punishment through to human rights and
politics, preparing graduates for a range of careers including welfare services,
local government and the probation service.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of 64 UCAS Tariff points from the following:
BTEC National (Diploma or Extended Diploma) in a relevant subject
GCE A
and AS Levels with at least one subject at A Level
Scottish Higher/Advanced
Higher with at least one subject at Advanced Higher
T Levels.
For mature applicants some experience may be taken in lieu of A
Levels/BTECS
Plus
GCSE English – Grade C/4 or above
GCSE Maths – Grade C/4 or above
EU and International applicants
NARIC confirmed equivalent of 64 UCAS points
IELTS with an overall score
of 6.0 and a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
Equivalent English language
qualifications may be acceptable for applicants requiring a
visa

Progression:
Graduates will have a strong set of practical skills for pursuing careers in
a range of sectors, for example, Prison and Probation Services, Local Government
and Police Authorities. After successful completion of BA (Hons) Social Science
(Criminology and Law) students can also progress to postgraduate study or
research.

International Students - £9500.00
Tuition fees will remain unchanged for the duration of a student’s continuous enrolment.
Additional Course Costs
Additional compulsory course costs will be paid for using the Career Degree Bursary. The scheme allows students to access the remainder of the bursary (up to a maximum value of £500 / £250) for additional optional courses, workshops, professional memberships and resources. There is no cash alternative. Students who wish to access opportunities in excessof the Career Degree Bursary may do so at full cost to themselves.

Study Details
You will study on the Lincoln College Campus for the full duration of the
course. Full Time - 3 Years Whilst the sessions delivered at College will
typically fall between Monday and Friday from 9am – 5pm, it is expected that
students will complete the online study, in addition to the independent study,
outside of these times. Students should also make themselves available to
complete work experience hours outside of these times. Many of the opportunities
offered through the college will require commitment during evenings and
weekends.
