You’ll prepare for the fast-moving world of policing by following a curriculum written and licensed by the College of Policing
Studying on our BA (Hons) Professional Policing, you will study a wide range of theoretical and legislative subjects and gain the knowledge you need for a rewarding career in the police service.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of 120 UCAS Tariff points from the following: BTEC National (Diploma or Extended Diploma) in a relevant subject GCE A and AS Levels (up to 16 from AS-levels) Scottish Higher/Advanced Higher with at least one subject at Advanced Higher T Levels. Applicants who do not have these qualifications will be considered on an individual cases by case basis following an initial assessment. Plus: GCSE Maths – Grade C/4 or above GCSE English – Grade C/4 or above However, if you do not have these qualifications you will need to commit to undertaking Maths and English at L2 whilst enrolled on your course, as this is a basic entry requirement for roles within the Police. EU and International applicants: NARIC confirmed equivalent of 120 UCAS points IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 and a minimum of 5.5 in each component. Equivalent English language qualifications may be acceptable for applicants requiring a visa.

Progression:

Graduates from this course will be equipped with an in-depth understanding of the role of a police officer today, including a thorough grasp of criminal justice systems and the powers and laws used by the police throughout England and Wales. You will graduate with a highly regarded and valuable qualification to stand you in good stead for a policing career. Please note that completion of this degree does not guarantee employment as a police officer or police staff.



Fees
Per Academic Year Home Students - £7999.00 International Students - £9500.00 Tuition fees will remain unchanged for the duration of a student’s continuous enrolment. Additional compulsory course costs will be paid for using the Career Degree Bursary. The scheme allows students to access the remainder of the bursary (up to a maximum value of £500 / £250) for additional optional courses, workshops, professional memberships and resources. There is no cash alternative. Students who wish to access opportunities in excess of the Career Degree Bursary may do so at full cost to themselves. Study Details
You will study on the Lincoln College Campus for the full duration of the course. Full Time – 3 years Whilst the sessions delivered at College will typically fall between Monday and Friday from 9am – 5pm, it is expected that students will complete the online study, in addition to the independent study, outside of these times. Students should also make themselves available to complete work experience hours outside of these times. Many of the opportunities offered through the college will require commitment during evenings and weekends.
