Will I have to pay fees?

Support For Students Aged 19+

Lincoln College Fee Remission Policy offers means tested and non-means tested help with course fees for qualifications up to and including Level 2 and for some students aged 19+ studying a first Full Level 3

We also offer the Advanced Learner Loan, which is non-means tested help with course fees for Level 3, 4, 5 and 6 Further Education funded courses. Our Learner Support Fund offers means tested help with course related costs such as travel to college, uniform, equipment, UCAS application fee and travel to Higher Education interviews. We offer help with the cost of Ofsted registered childcare through the Care To Learn scheme for students aged under 20 (non means tested) and our 20+ Childcare Support Fund (means tested). We can also provide assistance through the Free College Meals scheme. Students, or their parents, must be in receipt of a qualifying means tested benefit and either aged 19 to 24 and have a current Education and Health Care Plan, or be aged 19 and continuing exactly the same programme that they started before they turned 19. Introduction
This is an Entry Level or Level 1 programme which is designed for school leavers and young people who need extra support with learning. Students will achieve a greater sense of independence and self-confidence by building on their skills and strengths. Students will follow a programme of practical creative art elements linked to performing arts, media, photography and theatre make-up.

Learners will develop and increase their understanding of the creative arts industry and focus on all elements. Learners will work closely with our Catering learners to work on projects and help with upcoming events. This course is delivered off-site at Queens Park.



Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements needed but the right candidate should be working at Entry Level, have a desire to progress, a strong interest in catering and a willingness to learn. Learners will be interviewed to identify their specific requirements. An English and Maths assessment will also be carried out at interview to determine the correct level for each learner.

Assessment and Progression
Assessment is a collation of written work in a portfolio. Your practical and personal skills will also be assessed. Progression This course offers learners support with their studies and the curriculum is geared to get learners to progress their independent living skills and develop themselves in ways which will assist them to make the transition onto mainstream studies or supported employment.

What You Will Need To Bring
For Creative Arts, you will need black trousers / jogging bottoms, black t-shirt and black trainers or plimsolls. You will also need general stationery equipment such as; pencil case, black pen, pencil, ruler, rubber, pencil sharpener, A4 folder, A4 lined notepad, A4 punched pockets and file dividers.
