Will I have to pay fees?

Support For Students Aged 19+

Lincoln College Fee Remission Policy offers means tested and non-means tested help with course fees for qualifications up to and including Level 2 and for some students aged 19+ studying a first Full Level 3

We also offer the Advanced Learner Loan, which is non-means tested help with course fees for Level 3, 4, 5 and 6 Further Education funded courses. Our Learner Support Fund offers means tested help with course related costs such as travel to college, uniform, equipment, UCAS application fee and travel to Higher Education interviews. We offer help with the cost of Ofsted registered childcare through the Care To Learn scheme for students aged under 20 (non means tested) and our 20+ Childcare Support Fund (means tested). We can also provide assistance through the Free College Meals scheme. Students, or their parents, must be in receipt of a qualifying means tested benefit and either aged 19 to 24 and have a current Education and Health Care Plan, or be aged 19 and continuing exactly the same programme that they started before they turned 19. Introduction
The Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Verification of Assessment Processes and Practices is a practical and theoretical qualification that prepares those who lead teams of internal verifiers to plan internal quality assurance, maintain and improve the quality of assessment, manage information, understand legal and effective practical and implement planning and monitoring of team progress in relation to the quality of work and in providing feedback. This qualification is suitable for anyone who: - wants to develop their knowledge and skills of internal verification with a specific focus on leading teams - is currently internally verifying and leading a team and wants to have their experience and practice accredited with a recognised qualification This course is a roll on/off course throughout the academic year and is completed using self directed study and 1-1 sessions with a tutor.

Entry Requirements
To enrol for this course, you will need to be at least 19 years of age and be able to identify the occupational area you wish to internally verify for. You will need to be able to internally verify a minimum of two assessors/tutors who are making assessment decisions and your assessor/tutors need to have a minimum of two learners each. You will also be leading a team of two or more internal verifiers. As part of this course you will need to have a mentor who will guide and support you in your organisation. We consider every application on an individual basis and would be happy to have an informal discussion should you wish to talk about your current qualifications and experience.

Assessment and Progression
Assessment methods used are: Observation of practice with an assessor and a learner; professional discussion of how you lead and manage the internal verification process; written tasks to demonstrate your underpinning knowledge and understanding. These assessment methods can be adapted as required and within the assessment strategy of the awarding organisation.
