Will I have to pay fees?
Support For Students Aged 19+
Lincoln College Fee Remission Policy offers means tested and non-means tested help with course fees for qualifications up to and including Level 2 and for some students aged 19+ studying a first Full Level 3
We also offer the Advanced Learner Loan, which is non-means tested help with course fees for Level 3, 4, 5 and 6 Further Education funded courses. Our Learner Support Fund offers means tested help with course related costs such as travel to college, uniform, equipment, UCAS application fee and travel to Higher Education interviews. We offer help with the cost of Ofsted registered childcare through the Care To Learn scheme for students aged under 20 (non means tested) and our 20+ Childcare Support Fund (means tested). We can also provide assistance through the Free College Meals scheme. Students, or their parents, must be in receipt of a qualifying means tested benefit and either aged 19 to 24 and have a current Education and Health Care Plan, or be aged 19 and continuing exactly the same programme that they started before they turned 19. Introduction
Do you love all things beauty? Do you enjoy doing treatments at home, maybe
even for social media? Thought about a career as a Beauty Therapist? This course
is the ideal place to start.
Taught in our industry standard salons, using the latest specialist equipment
to develop your knowledge and understanding of the sector. This course is a
fast, exciting pace, led by experienced, enthusiastic and motivated tutors who
are on trend with industry. We have excellent links to local employers and
national organisations.
During this course, you’ll learn:
Salon Reception Duties
Promoting Products and Services to Clients
Providing Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatments
Carrying Out Waxing Services
Providing Manicure and Pedicure Services
Threading, lash perm and reception unit

Entry Requirements
You’ll need four GCSEs including English Language and Science (minimum grade
four / C or equivalent). You’ll also be required to have achieved either GCSE
Maths and/or English. You’ll be asked to attend an interview on the welcome day
and provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).
Those progressing from Level One Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing may be
accepted if they have achieved GCSEs in English or Maths and a satisfactory
reference from their existing Personal Tutor.

Assessment and Progression
Assessment: Assessment is a combination of theory and practical assessments
with online tests throughout the year.
Progression: The successful completion of the Level Two programme may lead to
a Level Three qualification in Beauty Therapy or employment.

Fees listed are for those aged 19 years and over only. Fees are subject to
change. Support for fees may be available, such as fee remission or the Advanced
Learner Loan.

What You Will Need To Bring
You’ll need workwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and kit from our
preferred supplier - which will include your course textbook. You will need
general stationery equipment and access to the internet; PCs are available on
campus.
