Support For Students Aged 19+
Lincoln College Fee Remission Policy offers means tested and non-means tested help with course fees for qualifications up to and including Level 2 and for some students aged 19+ studying a first Full Level 3
We also offer the Advanced Learner Loan, which is non-means tested help with course fees for Level 3, 4, 5 and 6 Further Education funded courses. Our Learner Support Fund offers means tested help with course related costs such as travel to college, uniform, equipment, UCAS application fee and travel to Higher Education interviews. We offer help with the cost of Ofsted registered childcare through the Care To Learn scheme for students aged under 20 (non means tested) and our 20+ Childcare Support Fund (means tested). We can also provide assistance through the Free College Meals scheme. Students, or their parents, must be in receipt of a qualifying means tested benefit and either aged 19 to 24 and have a current Education and Health Care Plan, or be aged 19 and continuing exactly the same programme that they started before they turned 19. Introduction
Do you love all things beauty? Did you enjoy a Level Two Beauty course and
want to progress? Thought about a career as a Beauty Therapist? This course is
the ideal place to start.
The Level Three Diploma in Beauty Therapy programme will allow you to broaden
your horizons and develop your employability and independent thinking. The
course will provide you with further technical skills training and develop
supervisory skills required within the Beauty Therapy profession. You will gain
an increased in-depth understanding of the human anatomy and its workings,
building on knowledge gained within Level Two.
During this course, you’ll learn:
Client care and communication
Monitor and maintain Health and Safety Practices in the Salon
Working in the Beauty Industry
Body Massage
Body and facial electrotherapy oils
Stone Therapy Massage

Entry Requirements
You’ll need four GCSEs including Maths/English and Science (minimum Grade
four/C or equivalent). You must also hold a VRQ or NVQ Level Two in Beauty
Therapy. If you’re 19yr+ you will be interviewed and previous experience taken
into consideration.
Those progressing from Level Two Beauty Therapy may be accepted if they have
achieved GCSE Maths and English and a satisfactory reference from their existing
Personal Tutor.

Assessment and Progression
Assessment: Assessment is a combination of theory and practical assessments
with online tests or assignments throughout the year.
Progression: Studying this programme will make you industry ready within a
Beauty Therapy career. You could enter into employment in salons, spas, and
cruise ships, teaching, management or continue your studies in Higher
Education.

What You Will Need To Bring
You’ll need workwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and kit from our
preferred supplier - which will include your course textbook. You will need
general stationery equipment and access to the internet; PCs are available on
campus.
