Will I have to pay fees?
Support For Students Aged 19+
Lincoln College Fee Remission Policy offers means tested and non-means tested help with course fees for qualifications up to and including Level 2 and for some students aged 19+ studying a first Full Level 3
We also offer the Advanced Learner Loan, which is non-means tested help with course fees for Level 3, 4, 5 and 6 Further Education funded courses. Our Learner Support Fund offers means tested help with course related costs such as travel to college, uniform, equipment, UCAS application fee and travel to Higher Education interviews. We offer help with the cost of Ofsted registered childcare through the Care To Learn scheme for students aged under 20 (non means tested) and our 20+ Childcare Support Fund (means tested). We can also provide assistance through the Free College Meals scheme. Students, or their parents, must be in receipt of a qualifying means tested benefit and either aged 19 to 24 and have a current Education and Health Care Plan, or be aged 19 and continuing exactly the same programme that they started before they turned 19. Introduction
Are you good with practical tasks and working with your hands? Do you want to
work in construction, but not be tied to one trade? If so, this course could be
perfect for you.
The Level Two Diploma in Maintenance (Construction) is designed to give you
the knowledge and skills in a range of construction trades so is perfect if you
want to work a variety of roles in the Property Maintenance Sector.
This qualification will enable you to develop practical skills and
underpinning knowledge across the following units:
- Health, safety and welfare in construction
- Principles of building construction, information and communication
- Carry out small-scale building repairs (brickwork)
- Carry out small-scale painting and decorating repairs
- Carry out small-scale plastering repairs
- Carry out small-scale plumbing repairs
- Carry out carpentry repairs

Entry Requirements
Ideally, you will have completed a Level One Multi-skills qualification and
have GCSEs in Maths and English (preferably GCSE Level Three or above).
You may also be required to have a successful interview at a welcome day and
provide a satisfactory reference from an employer or recent school/college
report.

Assessment and Progression
Assessment: Assessment is a combination of online and paper-based multiple
choice unit end tests and unit-specific practical assessments.
Progression: You could progress onto a higher level construction course in a
specific trade or into employment.

Fees
Fees listed are for those aged 19 years and over only. Fees are subject to
change. Support for fees may be available, such as fee remission or the Advanced
Learner Loan.

What You Will Need To Bring
You’ll need workwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from our
preferred supplier.
You’ll also need general stationery equipment and access to the Internet; PCs
are available on campus.
