Introduction
The
BA (Hons) course emphasizes the creative use of photography and other lens based
media across a wide range of subject areas and applications. The course
encourages the exploration of contemporary practice and includes critical and
contextual modules. Traditional techniques and practices are investigated
alongside digital practice and output.
This
is a visual communication course structured to provide a route into employment
in Photography, Creative Media and associated industries. Individual project
briefs enable learners to achieve their full potential using technical and
critical skills relevant to their specific pathways. The BA prepares learners
for a career in the design industry, through the development of design skills,
technical and professional expertise.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of 72 UCAS Tariff points from the following:
BTEC National (Diploma or Extended Diploma) in a relevant subject
GCE A and AS Levels with at least one subject at A Level
Scottish Higher/Advanced Higher with at least one subject at Advanced
Higher
T Levels.
For mature applicants some experience may be taken in lieu of A
Levels/BTECS
Plus
GCSE English – Grade C/4 or above
GCSE Maths – Grade C/4 or above
EU and International applicants:
NARIC confirmed equivalent of 72 UCAS points
IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 and a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
Equivalent English language qualifications may be acceptable for applicants
requiring a visa

Progression: On successful completion of the degree, graduates have a
strong set of practical skills for pursuing a career within the industry.
Graduates could also complete MA courses at an alternative university or pursue
a teacher training qualification.

Tuition fees will remain unchanged for the duration of a student’s continuous
enrolment.

(Please note trips may have to be altered for travel
restrictions)
Additional compulsory course costs will be paid for using the Career Degree
Bursary. The scheme allows students to access the remainder of the bursary (up
to a maximum value of £500 / £250) for additional optional courses, workshops,
professional memberships and resources. There is no cash alternative. Students
who wish to access opportunities in excess of the Career Degree Bursary may do
so at full cost to themselves.

Study Details
You will study on the Lincoln College Christ Hospital Terrace Campus for
the full duration of the course. Full Time - 3 years. Christs Hospital Terrace
is a Grade 2 listed building located in close proximity to Lincoln Cathedral and
Lincoln Castle. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the building is
accessible, there are known difficulties for students who require the use of a
wheelchair. It is therefore recommended that potential applicants contact the
course team to arrange for a more detailed needs assessment to be conducted.
